Details

Inspired by packaging from the 80s. This new version of our 1461 shoe is decorated with artwork from a DM’s shoe box from the mid to late 80s with a prominent AirWair script. The shoe is built from Vintage Smooth leather and tagged with a black and yellow heel loop. The grooved outsole is punched with classic DM’s yellow welt stitching.

  • Vintage Smooth is a retro edition of our signature Smooth leather with a subtle grained effect and contrast base colour. Clean with a damp cloth and care with Dr. Martens Shoe Polish
  • The DMS sole is a pillar of Dr. Martens construction — renowned for its comfort and stability. A two-tone appearance with distinctive grooving and an unmistakable tread pattern
  • Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed and reinforced with our signature welt stitch

Care Instructions

Clean Away dirt using a damp cloth, allow to dry apply a Dr.Martens Neutral or colour wax based shoe polish as appropriate to restore shine as desired. In the event of heavy scuffing or loss of colour then clean as before but add a matching coloured wax based shoe polish and buff up the leather with brush and cloth as required.

Goodyear Welted - the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, providing more comfort and durability for years to come.
