Fusing DIY-style illustrative designs with traditional handcraftsmanship, his one-of-a-kind pieces have changed the face of engraving. Our 1460 King Nerd boot features silver metal plates embossed with a bespoke design from the artist himself. Built from tough Smooth leather, the boots are finished with metallic accents, a Smoke DMS sole and yellow welt stitching.

  • Born on 01.04.60. Named the 1460. Over six decades, our 8-eye work boot has become iconic
  • Hardwearing and famously tough, our Smooth leather can be polished to shine or scuffed-up. It’s up to you. Clean with a damp cloth and care with Dr. Martens Shoe Polish
  • Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch

Material

Smooth leather is as classic as it gets: with us from the beginning, it is famously tough and can be buffed up to a high shine or artfully scuffed up.

Care Instructions

Wipe away dirt using a damp cloth. Apply a neutral or correct colored wax based shoe polish. Buff with a Dr. Martens Shoe Brush to restore shine as desired.

Goodyear Welted - the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, providing more comfort and durability for years to come.
