From 11th May – 14th May, Dr. Martens landed at The Great Escape festival for an unforgettable Tough As You takeover. With over 30 venues across Brighton banding together to platform emerging voices, the 4-day festival called over 500 up-and-coming artists to the stage for an explosive line-up of live performances. Working with Kojey Radical for a curation of dynamic new acts, inspiring talks and industry advice, we kicked off festival season — and commanded every stage, gig and audience while we were at it. Founded by DJ Mercedes Benson, SocialFIXT creates creative job opportunities for Black talent. Leading the talk, Mercedes was joined by Chinwe Mlemchukwu to chat industry advice and elevating diverse talent into creative industries.
