DIY DOCS TOUR
The DIY Docs customization tour made its way to the east coast with a couple of stops in New York City. Both events in SoHo and Brooklyn offered up the opportunity for our wearers to get their Docs personalized by local NYC artists. Ryan Mettz, Aviv Grimm, Kristine Reano-Hager, and Chris Lloyd brought their own unique vibe to the table.
In April the tour headed to SoHo where content creator Aviv Grimm and tattoo artists Ryan Mettz personalized pairs with their unique and distinct styles. Ryan brought city-inspired illustrations and simple, bold designs while artist Aviv incorporated her ethereal and haunting aesthetic. Their contrasting styles drew in a large crowd that was just as diverse and all were excited to be coming back to in-person events.

At our Smith St. store in Brooklyn, local artists Kristine Reano-Hagar and Chris Lloyd brought some of the most unique customizations to the tour with two new mediums. DJ Vee Vee spun vinyl while our wearers watched Kristine personalize pairs with fun beaded charms and chains. The creativity didn't end there, with Chris's elaborate illustrations laser-cut into Docs that attendees were eager to wear and show off.
