Tell us about your connection to The Trevor Project:

"I'm happy to say I've worked with The Trevor Project in the past and have enjoyed creating visual artwork supporting their work. It's vital to support young queer people with mental and emotional resources to withstand the systems of power that continuously make us feel small and wrong. As we see politicians across the country limit the autonomy of queer and trans people, we need more support than ever to deal with the emotional hardships of living in this time."

How do we support LGBTQIA+ mental health all year round?

"Support your local organizations that work towards defunding the police and funding community mental health programs instead. We can't talk about queer mental health without talking about the criminalization of those in our community who havent had access to resources or support. Police and jails don't make us safer or better; our communities do. I can assure you that an organization in your neighborhood is working to shift financial resources at the city/county level from incarceration to community care. Black and Pink is a great organization that supports incarcerated queer people; interrupting criminalization is a really amazing resource for learning about abolition. Performing Statistics is incredible at imagining a world where all youth are free."
