Carlisle Site finishing joiner
- The only boot I can choose is a slip on type as I'm constantly moving from houses on a building site that are at second fix stage to houses that I have to do final snagging with carpets down and boots off. My first few weeks with laced boots drove me crazy. I spent £40 more on these boots than a similar looking pair but these boots are the only pair I've ever had in nearly 20 years of site work that have lasted more than a year. I change them after around 18 months only because the constant on off causes the lining to come loose at the heel. The sole and leather are still perfectly usable. I do polish them pretty much every Monday morning which definitely helps the leather. I've never had issues with stitching or leather cracking. This will be my third pair of these boots.
- Lining at the heel comes loose after about 15months of use, but I really can't complaint about it, often when I have my tools in a dusty garage attached to a fully carpeted house I often have the boots on like a pair of clogs, boot heel squashed under my heel for quick on off, which is probably not ideal for boot heel shape longevity.
