One year after the first DM's boot, the 1461 rolled off the production line – packing the robust functionality of the 1460 boot into a sleek, low profile. In the six decades since, the unisex shoe has stomped down runways, pounded on stages and empowered individuality all around the world. This new rework is crafted from Arcadia, a classic rub-off leather that's designed to build character with wear.
- Second off the DM’s production line, the 1461 is a 3-eye shoe championed for its versatility
- Arcadia is high-shine leather with a base dye and contrasting topcoat, which rubs off over time to reveal the underlying color
- Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch
Material
A high-shine leather with a base dye and contrasting topcoat, which is rubbed off to reveal the underlying color.
Care Instructions
Wipe away dirt using a damp cloth. Apply a neutral or correct colored wax based shoe polish. Buff with a Dr. Martens Shoe Brush to restore shine as desired. We do not recommend the use of leather cleaners as they could damage the two-tone effect.
Construction
Goodyear Welted - the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, providing more comfort and durability for years to come.
