If you’ve taken the time to nourish, hydrate and seal your boots with Wonder Balsam or Dubbin Wax, a spritz of Protector is a great final step to add a layer of protection.
“If you love a scuffed-up look, don't worry, Protector won't change the look of your shoe,” says Doc’s Care Specialist, Michelle Engert.
Use Ultra Protector Spray on leather, suede, nubuck, nylon or canvas for an extra, breathable seal against dirt, rain, UV rays and stains.
You won’t need the spray for vegan-friendly or Genix Nappa products.
STEP 1
Kit
Grab a damp cloth or sponge and your bottle of Ultra Protector Spray. This is a quick job. Sitting is optional.
STEP 2
CLEAN
If you’ve already been wearing your boots, they’ll need a quick clean before you spray them. If they have shoelaces, remove and clean them separately. Then use your damp cloth or sponge to wipe any dirt from the leather and soles.
STEP 3
RE-LACE
Once your boots have dried, add clean or new laces back on before spraying. The life of your laces will benefit from a spraying too.
STEP 4
SPRAY
Hold the Ultra Protector bottle about 12 inches away from your boots and spray with an even coating. Be careful not to saturate them. Leave to dry for 5-10 minutes.
Protector is really great if you want to maintain colour. If your boots are black and you don't want them to get too washed out, it works a treat.
