12 boots. 12 months. 12 partners. Our iconic original boot turns 60 this year. And to celebrate, we’re teaming up with 12 world-renowned brands on a series of collaborations.

Loud with the collision of our shared heritage. It’s time for our penultimate 1460 Remastered boot. Partnering with legendary Japanese streetwear brand WTAPS, we’ve built a boot that’s both a testament to their committed aesthetic and our unwavering silhouette. And we’ve taken the toughest parts of both WTAPS and Dr. Martens and turned the volume up ten-fold.

WTAPS has always gone above and beyond. And there’s no exception in this collaboration. Maintaining their original fan-base whilst continuing to influence generations of new wearers, our philosophies can be compared on more levels than one.

The 1460 WTAPS was crafted for the everyday. And then some. Fusing our historic steel toe cap with WTAPS easy on/easy off clip fastenings, the boot takes cues from the Japanese brands’ utilitarian aesthetic. A unique element and a first for DM’s — the coordinates of their Tokyo based store are debossed across the quarter panel.

For our 60th anniversary, we worked with 12 innovative labels, brands and designers on 12 one-off reworks of our Original boot, each limited to 1460 pairs worldwide. Dropping once each month throughout 2020, the boots usually sold out in minutes.
