DR. MARTENS x BEAMS X BABYLON

For the third collaboration of The 1460 Remastered series, we’ve partnered up with Japanese brand Beams and LA label Babylon for a 3-way collaboration. Our previous collections with Beams have been clean and minimalistic. But by throwing the hardcore-skate stylings of Babylon into the mix, we’re cranking our shared punk heritage up to the max.

Inspired by the rude boys of the 60s, the boot has a double stripe down the heel — nodding to the subculture’s iconic uniform braces. They’re accented with Beams’ unmistakable orange — a colour synonymous with their clean, minimalist collections — and fitted with an elasticated strap over the tongue to allow for laceless wear.

For our 60th anniversary, we worked with 12 innovative labels, brands and designers on 12 one-off reworks of our Original boot, each limited to 1460 pairs worldwide. Dropping once each month throughout 2020, the boots usually sold out in minutes.
