Affectionately known as Posties in Britain, Royal Mail workers were one of the first adopters of Dr. Martens footwear in 1960.

On their feet for most of their working day delivering post, they were looking for comfort and durability. In 1984, Dr. Martens shoes officially became part of the Royal Mail uniform, adding a hard-working bounce to the formal look.
