Our first collaboration with Tremaine Emory’s Denim Tears celebrates the transformational legacy of the Windrush generation. Subverting the Union Jack with the colours of the Jamaican flag, our 1460 boot represents the infusion of Caribbean culture into British heritage. Handcrafted in England from rugged Smooth leather, the boots are welted on a traditional DMS sole secured with our signature welt stitch.​

  • Made in England at the original DM’s factory​
  • Born on 1st April 1960. Named the 1460 boot. Our 8-eye work boot is unmistakable. Remixed and redefined — never replicated.
  • Hardwearing and famously tough, our Smooth leather can be polished to shine or scuffed-up. It's up to you. Clean with a damp cloth and care with Dr. Martens Shoe Polish​
  • Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed and reinforced with our signature welt stitch

Smooth - durable and famously stiff to start, this leather can be polished to a dapper shine or artfully scuffed-up depending on your preference.

60% Leather / 40% Textile

Sole:
100% PVC

Care Instructions

Wipe away dirt using a damp cloth. Apply a neutral or correct colored wax based shoe polish. Buff with a Dr. Martens Shoe Brush to restore shine as desired.

Construction

Goodyear Welted - the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, providing more comfort and durability for years to come.
