First discovered decades ago in the DM's Archive, the Smiths shoe is a 4-eye rework of our signature 1461 3-eye shoe. This new rework showcases the unconventional silhouette in fine-grain Desert Oasis suede from Leeds tannery C. F. Stead with tonal laces and antique gold eyelets. The tapered shoe is welted on a classic DMS sole secured with our signature yellow stitching.

  • Desert Oasis Suede is made in England with a pronounced nap for a premium look and feel
  • A pillar of DM's construction. Our Original and most recognizable sole. A height of 1 1/8 inch — marked by traditional DMS tread pattern that's unique to Dr. Martens. One of our most flexible soles, well known for its comfort and stability
  • Construction - Made with our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700˚C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch
  • Footbed - Slimmer and a more tapered toe shape

Material

This classic suede is made in England and features a pronounced nap for a premium look and feel.

Care Instructions

Clean by brushing with a suede or stiff bristle brush.

Goodyear Welted - the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, providing more comfort and durability for years to come.
