PROUD THEN. PROUD NOW.

PROUD ALWAYS

Dr. Martens is a brand built by our wearers and colleagues. The LGBTQIA+ community has always prominently been a part of both groups. We want to show our thanks to those who've made Dr. Martens more than a footwear manufacturer.

Pride is more than a single moment in the calendar. Gender identity and sexual orientation are important every single day. It’s disrespectful to think otherwise. That’s why we are continuing our year-round partnership with The Trevor Project, the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQIA+ youth. In this, our 6th year of partnership with The Trevor Project, we are continuing our sponsorship with a $200,000 commitment.

For this year's Pride we want to take a step back and put members of the community in the spotlight. We want to help celebrate the people who are making a difference today and those who came before. Pride Generations is a series of conversations about the LBGTQIA + Protests and Nightlife where you're never too old to learn, and never too young to listen.

NIGHTLIFE

Kia and Lee Soulja discuss the importance of nightlife in the queer community and why it's vital to remember the ones we have lost.

THE TREVOR PROJECT

We're honored to be year-long partners of The Trevor Project and proud to support their incredible organization. The Trevor Project is the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQIA+ youth. The organization also runs TrevorSpace, the world's largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQIA+ youth and operates innovative education, research, and advocacy programs. Join us in supporting their life-affirming and life-saving work.

LEARNING FROM OUR ELDERS

We commissioned the star of our Protest film and co-founder of UK Black Pride Lady Phyll to share with us someone who inspired her to become a community leader.

THE POWER OF PROTEST

We commissioned lifelong LGBTQIA+ activist Peter Tatchell to tell us how he's used protest to affect change and why it remains a vital tool for equality.

RAINBOW HISTORY CLASS

We've asked the international queer education collective to give a special lesson on 5 lesser-known protests in the fight for queer liberation.
