BOOT DOCTOR TIP: THE MORE OFTEN YOU LOOK AFTER YOUR DM’S, THE LONGER THEY’LL LAST.
Step 1: YOUR SHOE CARE KIT
Find a clear spot that you don’t mind getting hit with a bit of run-off spray — and maybe some mud, depending on what you’ve been putting your boots through. You’ll need your bottle of Ultra Protector Spray, and maybe a damp cloth or sponge. If you’re only working on one pair of DM’s footwear, you might not even need to sit down for this.
Step 2: REMOVE DIRT
If you’ve been testing the limits of your boots, you might need to clean them up first. Whip out your laces to clean separately and use your damp cloth to wipe off any mud. If you’re using Ultra Protector on its own, now is the time to move to Step 3. Our shoe protector is the perfect final touch in any shoe-care routine — so if you have any other products to apply, now’s the time to get stuck in.
BOOT DOCTOR TIP: IF YOUR BOOTS HAVE LIVED A LITTLE, BANG THEM TOGETHER TO REMOVE ANY EXCESS MUD FIRST.
Step 3: RE-LACE
Once your footwear has dried, pop your clean laces back in, or play around with a new pair. Ultra Protector will prolong the life of even the most intricately-patterned pair of laces.
BOOT DOCTOR TIP: LACES NEED PROTECTING TOO. RE-LACING BEFORE YOU USE SHOE PROTECTOR SPRAY WILL ENSURE THEY’RE AS READY FOR ACTION AS YOUR BOOTS.
Step 4: GET SPRAYING
It’s time to apply the Ultra Protector. Hold the bottle about 30CM away from your shoes or boots and spray them with an even coating — be careful not to saturate them. Set your boots aside and let them dry while you plan your next adventure.
