Made in Dr. Martens’ original Northamptonshire factory by hand. The Patch 8-eye boot part of the Made in England Crafted collection has all the charm of a country manor with the comfort and durability of any Dr Martens shoe. Harris tweed spun by a tiny band of weavers on a remote Scottish isle with a signature air-cushioned sole. Classic style done the Dr Martens way.
Harris Tweed is cloth that has been handwoven by the islanders of Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra in their homes, using pure virgin wool that has been dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides.
[Harris Tweed] = Clean away dirt with a moist sponge or soft brush in soapy warm water. Apply the detergent to a small, inconspicuous area on the tweed. If the soap does not discolour the tweed, you may proceed. Lightly scrub the tweed, focusing on any stained areas. Do not allow the tweed to get excessively wet. Continue scrubbing lightly with the sponge or brush until the tweed is entirely clean. Allow the material to air dry completely.
This is a leather-welted product. The upper and sole are sewn together, not merely glued, like many footwear constructions, and are also heat-sealed.
